NEW DELHI -- Veteran actor Dharmendra says if a biopic is made on him, there is no one in Bollywood, who can portray him perfectly.

The 80-year-old actor, who was in the capital to promote his son Sunny Deol's upcoming directorial venture Ghayal Once Again, said he has no desire to make a biopic on himself.

"I don't think anybody is so colourful in nature like me. The way I have done things, it is tough for anyone else to do it that way. But, I will never make a biopic on myself. The life once lived is lived. I have lived this life beautifully, with truthfulness, with romance, with fun," he said.

Dharmendra came to Mumbai from Punjab with a wish to make it big in Hindi film industry. He made his Bollywood debut in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere.

The actor, who became one of the most famous and loved celebrities of Indian cinema went on to star in films like Bandini (1963), Phool Aur Patthar (1966) ,Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971), Satyakam (1969), Raja Jani (1972), Dream Girl (1977), Charas (1976), and Sholay (1975).

His last on-screen outing was Double Di Trouble (2014) starring Punjabi actor-singer Gippy Grewal and Tina Ahuja.

Dharmendra, who served as a producer for the 1990 film Ghayal is also producing its sequel, set to release this Friday.
