Veteran actor Kabir Bedi's fourth marriage to his long-time, British-born partner Parveen Dusanj has not gone down very well with his daughter Pooja.

After Kabir Bedi tied the knot with Dusanj in an intimate ceremony on his 70th birthday on 16 January, Pooja, his daughter from his first marriage, tweeted: "Every fairy tale has a wicked witch or an evil step mother. Mine just arrived." The couple, who have been together for more than a decade, surprised guests with the sudden announcement at the birthday party.

But later, Pooja deleted the post saying that she wanted to 'keep things positive'.

Kabir was married thrice before his wedding to Dusanj.

But the Mumbai-based actor insists that he has maintained a good relationship with all his former partners.

"No matter how enlightened the individuals involved in a relationship are, parting ways is always painful. There's always anger, bitterness and recrimination, but your honest efforts are always respected in retrospect, once the anger fades away. And that's why all my ex-wives have been good friends of mine," he said, according to a report in DNA.

His first wife was model-turned-Odissi dancer Protima Bedi, with whom he had two children Pooja and Siddharth.

He later married British-born fashion designer Susan Humphreys and the couple had one son Adam, who made his Bollywood debut with the thriller Hello? Kaun Hai!.

Kabir divorced Susan and tied the knot with TV and radio presenter Nikki Bedi. They had no children and split in 2005.

Kabir, who is best known across the globe for his role as the villainous Gobinda in the 1983 James Bond film Octopussy, was also rumoured to be dating Bollywood actress Parveen Babi.
