Watch Kalki Koechlin's Searing Poem On Women's Safety, Politics, And The Media

Actress Kalki Koechlin has always been a strong advocate for gender equality, as evidenced by multiple interviews and one All India Bakchod video.

In this new video by YouTube creators BLUSH, the actress, best known for films such as Dev D (2009) and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), performs a poem written by her called The Printing Machine. Set to a percussive electronic track, the poem makes hard-hitting statements about various issues related to women, the politics that spin out of it as a result, and how the media lays it all out, often without proper context.
