NEW DELHI -- Chintan Upadhyay was arrested today morning in connection with the murder of his estranged wife Hema Upadhyay.

Upadhyay was called in for questioning late last night and placed under arrest at around 3:30 this morning, NDTV reported on Tuesday.

Last week, the bodies of Hema and her lawyer Harish Bhambhani were found packed in boxes and dumped in a sewer in Mumbai's Kandivali area.

"Chintan Upadhyay has been arrested by the Mumbai police in connection with Hema Upadhyay murder case," Additional Commissioner of Police Fateh Singh Patil told ANI.
