Women in Delhi who are driving after a long day's work needn't worry about the odd/even rule for private vehicles, as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has hinted that women drivers as well as vehicles carrying only women passengers or a patient are to be exempt from this rule, stated media reports.
To tackle Delhi's pollution problem, Delhi government last week had decided that all private cars, barring taxis and auto-rickshaws, with registration numbers ending with an odd figure (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) will be allowed on the roads only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays were marked for vehicles with even number plates (2, 4, 6, 8 or 0), according to Hindustan Times.
Sundays are supposed to be exempt from this rule
But after the questions raised by Home Minister Rajnath Singh and on social media, CM Kejriwal seems to be considering exemption for women.
"We are considering exemptions for single women drivers, cars with only women and patients," Kejriwal told NDTV after meeting Singh on Wednesday.
we understand implications for women driving cars. pls wait for details.. u will be happy @VidyaKrishnan

In fact, according to The Hindu report, a senior government official had even gone as far as to say that women drivers driving cars registered under someone else's name won't be stopped.
But obviously the CM won't be able to make everyone happy.
Arvind Kejriwal has taken his revenge on Delhi Police. Now they'll have to learn maths. #OddEvenFormula

Now people of Delhi should be more afraid of Women drivers rather than pollution.

So odd-even rule doesn't apply to women only cars, for safety. Because men, you know, can never be robbed, attacked, feel unsafe or killed.
