Chennai Rains: Shah Rukh Donates ₹ 1 Crore To Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund

NEW DELHI -- Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan has donated Rs one crore for the victims of Chennai flood.

According to sources, Shah Rukh, who will be seen with Kajol in his upcoming film Dilwale, has contributed the sum to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.

In the wake of Chennai floods, many Indian actors such as Rana Daggubati of Bahubali fame, and sports persons such as Saina Nehwal and Dipika Pallikal, have come forward to help the flood victims.

About 280 people have died so far across Tamil Nadu since torrential rains on 1 December submerged tracts of Chennai and caused havoc and devastation.
