A defeat isn't easy to deal with. Especially on Twitter. So, when the trends in the Bihar election results on Sunday started to indicate that the Mahagathbandhan had a clear lead over the BJP, there was a near bloodbath on Twitter.
Many mocked Amit Shah for his 'Pakistan will crackers if BJP loses in Bihar' remark. And some of them just threw around words like 'bhakts', 'Hindu trolls', 'adarsh liberals' and 'pseudoseculars'.
But the social media war went to a different level when some of the Twitter trolls launched a smear campaign against the people of Bihar, after BJP's loss on Sunday.
Some of them said that people in Bihar will apparently continue to live a miserable life because they chose Nitish Kumar over Narendra Modi.

The trolls wouldn't even take anything against the big leaders of the BJP. After the results, when Arun Shourie remarked that Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Arun Jaitley should be held accountable for BJP’s loss in Bihar elections, the trolls started abusing the former Union Minister's son who suffers from cerebral palsy.
In an interview to NDTV on Sunday evening, Shourie said, "My handicapped son and myself were abused by trolls. These fools are followed by the Prime Minister on social media."
Then, there were comments like these.
Better was expected from Arun Shourie. Why complain about trolls? Isn't he the biggest troll who got snubbed down? Now hiding behind son!

However, many on Twitter protested to the tasteless tweet on Shourie's son.
"What happens in newly tolerant India when someone speaks his mind," wrote Prem Panicker.
Dear @vinay1011, when u will u stop this nonsense that BJP or PM doesn't support abusive trolls. PM felicitated n encouraged them recently.
