The latest trends from the Election Commission suggest that the Grand Alliance in Bihar, consisting of the Janata Dal (United), Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress is leading and the BJP is on it's way to a defeat. Most exit polls over the weekend were cautious and more or less evenly split between the two contenders, even as they tilted towards the Grand Alliance. Only Today's Chanakya and Axis APM boldly stuck their neck out and forecast resounding victories for the BJP and GA respectively. While Chanakya's 'apologized' for getting it wrong, APM is soaking in the glory of vindication, after facing the ignominy of having its channel partner, CNN-IBN, nix their forecast on the eve of counting day.
