While several Indian parents want their children to be 'happily married' and are in always in great hurry to marry their children off, actor Anil Kapoor is not one of them.

Anil, who is a father of three -- actress Sonam, producer/director Rhea and budding actor Harshvardhan -- does not want his children to get married simply because of societal pressure or family obligation.

In an interview to the Hindustan Times, Anil said, "Things have changed now. It all depends on what makes them happy. I tell them to only think of marrying when it makes them happy and not any time soon. Don’t marry for the sake of marrying."

But in many other ways, Anil also speaks like a typical doting Indian dad. "Sonam is still like a child, she is a very loving person. She is all heart. There are times when we have to control her from talking and tell her (to) think and talk (bolna padta hai soch samajhke baat kar)," Anil had told PTI.

Though Sonam and sister Rhea have worked together for the film Aisha, the father-daughter duo are yet to be seen on the big screen together.

“At the moment we are not working together. In fact, as actors we have never worked together. There is no future project at the moment where I can say that we are working together. But we hope to," he told HT.

The 58-year-old actor will next be seen in Jugalbandi that also stars Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan.

Anil is also rumoured to be seen alongside his nephew Arjun Kapoor in the remake of Chacha Bhatija. He is also said to be planning a desi version of Modern Family.

Sonam will now be seen in the upcoming film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo opposite Salman Khan, which is set to hit the theatres on 12 November.
