Ankit Gera, who was the last contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house, made his exit from the ninth edition of the show on Sunday.
The TV actor could potentially have been the cause of much drama this season, given that he is fellow contestant Roopal Tyagi's ex (and that didn't end very well at all). However, Gera didn't seem to cause any trouble at all in his short journey on the show.
He and partner Arvind Vegda, a Gujarati folk singer, got along famously; Gera not only sacrificed his luggage for Vegda, but also borrowed clothes from him, donned tattoos like him, and addressed him as 'motu bhai' out of affection. They were often seen crooning and chilling together, and Gera was the only housemate who put up with Vegda's loud snoring at night, something that has been disturbing the others quite a bit this season.
The duo did fairly well in their first luxury budget task and won points for the housemates. Gera remained unaffected by ex-flame Roopal Tyagi’s presence in the house but was seen playfully taunting her at several occasions. Initially he chose not to speak to Tyagi but got along very well with her partner Digangana Suryavanshi. However, after a while, the ice had thawed and the two were seen spending time with each other. Upon Ankit’s exit from the house, Roopal was seen crying incessantly.
Speaking about his journey in the Bigg Boss house, Gera said, “I had a great time inside the Bigg Boss house and it was a wonderful experience. I was fortunate to get a partner like Arvindji who took care of me like a younger brother. I feel we made a great pair and I am going to miss him a lot. While my stay in the house was a brief one, if given a chance to go back, I would most definitely take up the opportunity!”
