NEW DELHI -- The Supreme Court on Monday rejected the bail plea of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Somnath Bharti, who has been accused of domestic violence and attempt to murder by his wife Lipika Mitra, and directed him to approach a lower court.
The apex court also directed the trial judge to consider any bail application moved by Bharti within a day and dispose of it expeditiously.
Meanwhile, Bharti's wife refused to go for mediation with him.
The AAP MLA has so far rubbished all allegations levelled against him.
