PATNA -- Janata Dal (United) workers will be sending around one lakh DNA samples to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his 7RCR residence today, to fulfill the promise made by chief minister Nitish Kumar at the Swabhimaan Rally.

"Till now we have collected around 10 lakh samples and seven lakh samples are on the way. We will be sending 20 boxes, each containing 5000 thousand samples, through speed-post and parcel, daily to 7RCR," JD (U) worker told ANI.

"These samples contain nails and hairs of the people of Bihar. Our initial target which was of 50 lakhs will be exceeded after watching the excitement of the people," he added.

Earlier, in a befitting reply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's DNA jibe, Nitish Kumar had earlier said that the people of his state will be sending samples of their hair and nails to the Prime Minister's Office for a DNA analysis.

Addressing a massive Swabhimaan Rally in Patna's Gandhi Maidan, Kumar said, "He ( Narendra Modi) said my DNA is bad. Who am I? I am one of you. Today, people of Bihar are collecting samples of their hair and nails and from tomorrow they will be sending it to the Prime Minister's Office for their DNA analysis. My DNA represents a Bihari".
