West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek has done it again. The 27-year-old Trinamool Congress MP has made violent threats against anyone who tries to "exploit the people of West Bengal."
In a party function in Basirhat town of North 24 Parganas district on Monday, Banerjee said that Trinamool MPs would not "spare anyone" who tries to take advantage of people of West Bengal, where it forms the current state government.
"Until Mamata Banerjee is here, if anyone looks at West Bengal with evil intentions, we will gouge their eyes out and throw it on the streets," he said. "We will cut their arms off."
...we will gouge their eyes out & throw it on the streets, cut their arms off: Abhishek Banerjee, TMC MP (22.06.15)

Banerjee, who is the president of the party's youth wing and seen as likely successor to his aunt, said that while most political parties had "fallen at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's feet", TMC has resolutely protected the interests of West Bengal and its people.
Banerjee has courted controversy earlier with his statements against Jadavpur University students when they were protesting against the college vice chancellor in September last year. While the students' protests were on the alleged sexual harassment of a girl inside the campus, Banerjee had questioned their motives, which he suggested were due to the ban on drugs and alcohol.
Earlier in January this year, Banerjee was slapped by a man while he was in the middle of giving a speech.
The Bharatiya Janata Party reacted strongly to Banerjee's statement. BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh on Tuesday said that use of such language by a youth leader is condemnable.
"We condemn this type of political language being used by a youth leader. We can throw them out through democracy," said Singh.
"In the heart of Delhi, in Parliament and through various protests, Mamata Banerjee and the TMC have proved that if the interests of the people of Bengal are hurt, we will not leave the matter. As long as Mamata is there, if anyone dares to glare at us, we will gouge their eyes out and throw them on the road, if they raise their hands, we'll cut their arms off," he said.
