'Puli' Marks Sridevi's Comeback To Tamil Cinema After 20 Years

The official teaser of Sridevi-Vijay starrer action adventure "Puli" was released yesterday, a day earlier than its original release date, due to popular demand from fans.

Sridevi, 51, who is making a comeback to Tamil Cinema after a gap of more than two decades, will be seen essaying the role of a powerful queen. The 'English Vinglish' star is donning elaborate gowns designed by Manish Malhotra. She completed her royal look with intricate jewellery and unique headgears.

The 55-seconds teaser, which opens up with a fight sequence, also features Sudeep of 'Makkhi' fame and Shruti Haasan who tweeted out the release yesterday.

Directed by Chimbu Deven, the film is on the lines of Hollywood film 'The Gladiator'. Prior to the release yesterday, Puli's teaser was unveiled on 20 June by Tamil superstar Vijay on Twitter. (Today also happens to be the actor's 41st birthday).

Co-produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar, 'Puli' is slated to release later this year.
