Ambition runs in the Chopra khaandaan, clearly. With Priyanka Chopra making waves (allegedly) with her international pop singing career and American TV debut with a lead role in the show 'Quantico', cousin Parineeti also has big dreams that she plans on fulfilling in the near future.
The 26-year-old actress will not be seen in any release this year, but told Mumbai Mirror in an interview that she plans to record her first single this year, saying that she's "a great singer".
"It will not be a pop, jazz or rock number but a Burlesque-style single," she was quoted as saying. "Being on Broadway is my ultimate dream and my single could be a step towards it."
Dreams are a many splendid thing, of course, but does Chopra possess the vocal chops required for the Broadway stage? These videos, made in 2012 during the release of her debut 'Ishaqzaade' seem to suggest that she definitely has potential.
Here she is singing 'Pareshaan' from the film...
... and here she sings it with singer Shalmali Kholgade, adding a pretty good harmony towards the end.
