NEW DELHI -- In her complaint of domestic violence filed with the Delhi Commission for Women, Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti's wife has accused him of unleashing dogs on her while she was pregnant.
"In her complaint, she mentioned that her husband used to unleash dogs on her when she was in the seventh month into her pregnancy. She said he once forced her to abort and that she tried to slit her wrist," said DCW chairperson Barkha Singh, PTI reported.
"The couple had met on shaadi.com and Bharti had told her lies about he owning an international law firm," she said.
Have asked Somnath Bharti to appear before DCW on 26th. But going by past experiences, I am doubtful if he will come: Barkha Shukla Singh

Bharti's wife, Lipika, has accused him of "harassment and torture - mental, physical and oral." "There is a persistent threat from my husband and his supporters," said her complaint which was filed on Wednesday.
Bharti, who was Delhi's law minister during AAP's first government of 49 days, has rejected these allegations as "baseless," and he has accused Lipika of trying to separate him from his mother.
I love my wife but her demands that I should leave serving my mother and motherland are not acceptable. She reacted with a false complaint.
