In a statement issued on Tuesday, Médecins Sans Frontières confirmed that a helicopter it had chartered to deliver humanitarian aid crashed in Sindhupalchowk district, Nepal.
AP reported that at least four people had been killed in the crash.
Sindhupalchowk district suffered the highest death toll in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake, which hit the Himalayan nation on April 25th.
MSF said it was working to confirm the identities of the victims of the crash.
"We trust that the privacy of the families will be respected at this difficult time, and continue to offer our support to all affected staff and their families," it said in a statement.
The death toll from the earthquakes on April 25th and May 12 in Nepal claimed the lives of more than 8,500 people.
A U.S. Marines helicopter crashed last month while on a rescue mission, AP reported, killing six Marines and two Nepalese soldiers.
