NEW DELHI — Today at 11 am, the Karnataka High Court acquitted the former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa and overturned her conviction in the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate assets case. In September 2014, the AIADMK head, fondly called "Amma", was given a four year prison sentence and charged a Rs 100 crore fine for offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
