Even as the country awaits the verdict of Salman Khan’s nearly-13-year-long hit and run case with bated breath, the star is surrounded by an equal amassing of supporters and haters. Amidst the former is actor Shah Rukh Khan who reportedly visited Salman’s residence on Tuesday night. SRK was spotted driving to Salman’s Galaxy Apartments in the later hours of the evening.

Popular Bollywood blogger Miss Malini also tweeted out an image of the 'Happy New Year' star visiting Salman.

Several videos were also recorded of the actor exiting his car, and heading to the apartment.

Over the years the two actors have resolved their long-stand rivalry to finally become friends: They fell out in 2008 at Katrina Kaif’s birthday, and finally made up last year at Salman’s sister Arpita’s wedding. Arpita, and her husband Aayush Sharma were also present at Salman’s apartment yesterday to show their support.

This morning, Salman's sisters and brothers including (Alvira, Sohail and Arbaaz) also visited the actor. According to a report by NDTV, local politician Baba Siddique was also present.

The hit and run case was filed against Salman in 2002. The actor was accused of rash driving that resulted in ramming into a bakery in Bandra, and killing a pedestrian. Four other people were also injured in the process. Salman appealed that it was his driver Arjun Singh who was at the wheel, not him. The actor has been summoned by the Mumbai court at 11:15am today. If declared guilty, Salman could be looking at facing a decade in jail.
