MUMBAI — Bollywood actor Salman Khan today was held guilty of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case by a sessions court in Mumbai. Judge DW Deshpande of the Mumbai court upheld prosecution charges that Khan was driving under the influence of alcohol and lost control of his car in the 2002 accident. One person was killed, and four others were injured at that time.
Khan has been booked under Section 304 A of the Indian Penal Code for rash and negligent driving; sec 279 for rash driving; sec 337 for causing minor injuries; sec 338 for causing major injuries; and sec 427 for negligence; in connection with the case.
The verdict, which has broken the hearts of millions of Salman's fans across the country, will also adversely affect his upcoming films such as 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'.
