PATIALA, Punjab -- Under attack, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Sunday described the incident involving molestation of a teenage girl on a bus in Moga, which resulted in her death, as "intolerable" and "painful."
Badal said he will be meeting the family of the victim who have been staging a sit-in to demand to demand cancellation of licence to Orbit bus service, which the Badal family owns.
"This (Moga bus incident) is intolerable. The death of a girl in such conditions is very painful to me...I am going to Moga (to meet the family of girl)," Badal said here while talking to reporters.
Badal said that nothing could compensate for the teenager's death.
However, Badal refused to make any comment on the visit of opposition party leaders to Moga over the issue.
The state government has been facing the ire from several quarters including AAP and the Congress Party over the incident especially since no cabinet minister had gone to meet the family of victim at Moga.
