NEW DELHI — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday travelled on the Airport Express Line of the Delhi Metro, lauding the 'enjoyable' ride he had.
The Prime Minister took to twitter to share his experience, also thanking former Delhi Metro Rail corporation (DMRC) managing director E. Sreedharan.
Sreedharan ji would always tell me to experience the Delhi Metro. Today I had the opportunity to do so on the way to Dwarka.

Minister of State for Environment and Forests Prakash Javadekar said, "Today the Prime Minister led by example. The world is discussing climate change and the Prime Minister is saying that Indian lifestyle is environmental friendly. He wants people to practice relying on public transport more, people should opt out using private vehicles, use cycles on some occasions. He is giving new ideas of how we can rekindle our life which is environment friendly. This emphasises the need to use public transport more and that is a big message."
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that Prime Minister Modi's actions show that he is connected to common people.
"Modi ji rose to the stature of Prime Minister but he started his life as a common man. He is always concerned with the feelings, requirements and other things associated with the common man. His style of politics is such that he is always concerned about the life of common man," he said.
Prime Minister Modi travelled from the Dhaula Kuan Metro Station to the Dwarka Sector 21 Metro Station. He was accompanied by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
