Xiaomi India has announced a permanent price cut for the Mi 4 smartphone, making the special price offer during the Mi Fan Festival permanent.

The Mi 4 16GB version now retails for Rs. 17,999, and 64GB model for Rs. 21,999, down from Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 23,999 respectively.

The Mi 4 is listed on Flipkart and the Mobile store, and will be available on Snapdeal and Amazon India soon, the company said in a release.

Launched in India in late January 2015, the Mi 4 is fitted with a 5-inch full HD IPS display with Corning OGS Glass. It comes with an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Sony IMX214 BSI sensor and 4K video recording.

The Mi4 is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor,3GB RAM and a 3080 mAh quick charging battery. Available in 16 and 64 GB storage options, the Mi 4 runs on MIUI 6, a modified version of Android KitKat.
