MUMBAI — Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap can't wait to see his ex-wife Kalki Koechlin in the film 'Margarita With A Straw' and says that she always wanted to do such a challenging role.
"She always looked for such roles. This is something she always wanted more than anything she has done in the past," the filmmaker said here on Wednesday during the special screening of the film hosted by actor Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao.
"I have seen her prepare for it so I am dying to see her on-screen," added Kashyap, who has earlier directed Kalki in his films 'Dev D' and 'That Girl In Yellow Boots'.
In 'Margarita With A Straw', Kalki plays a real-life individual, Malini Chib, who suffers from cerebral palsy. The actress has garnered a lot of appreciation in the international circuit for her portrayal in the film.
Directed by Shonali Bose, "Margarita With A Straw" is set to release April 17. Bose is Chib's real-life cousin.
