Mumbai is one of the toughest cities in India to survive and thrive.

The Maximum City has been hit by the nation's deadliest terror attack, social and religious strife, and a beef ban. Every monsoon, its roads morph into streams, and the deadly crush of the "Mumbai Local" has become folklore narrated across the country.

But millions of its resilient inhabitants are bonded by their grit and determination to deal with the challenges of this dynamic city. Some of that love and pride exploded on Twitter today with the hashtag #MumbaiTaughtMe.
