"Chitthi na koi sandes/ Jaane woh kaunsa des/ Jahaan tum chale gaye..."
These words from a popular Bollywood song are making the rounds at Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, as cheeky posters announcing that Rahul Gandhi is "missing" have resurfaced, according to an NDTV report.
From announcing a large reward for anyone who gives information about Gandhi, to sarcastic assurances of making the informer "mala-maal" (wealthy), these posters have reason to cause Gandhi some serious embarrassment.
Gandhi, the Congress Vice President, has been on a sabbatical for last few weeks to "reflect upon" recent events and the future of the party that was completely wiped out in the Delhi Assembly elections capping a string of losses.
According to a report in The Indian Express, Congress party workers spent an entire day removing these posters from several parts of Amethi. They had become a cause of concern for them, as the posters had also listed several problems faced by the people from Gandhi's constituency, such as "poor condition of roads," and "lack of health facilities," among others.
Media reports also say that similar posters announcing rewards for finding Rahul Gandhi have cropped up in Bulandshahr and Allahabad.

But this is not the first time that such posters have surfaced in UP. In February, party workers in Allahabad put up banners in the city announcing a reward for anyone who can find the scion of the Nehru-Gandhi political dynasty.
