Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has always seemed like a jovial person, the kind of person who could be your friend's cool dad and hangs out with you as just one of the boys. Which is why it makes perfect sense that, on Twitter, he is possibly the funniest celebrity around.

While the actor first tweeted in January 2010, he took a long hiatus from the microblogging website only to return on February 26 this year. Since then, the senior actor, husband to Neetu Singh and father of Ranbir Kapoor, has been tweeting up a storm. His tweets are often laced with irreverent humour and he has the famous 'Kapoor family' trait — an enduring love for eating, drinking, and the good life. But he isn't always just joking about — the senior Kapoor has also used his wit to weigh in on issues that have dominated the news.

If you haven't been following him on Twitter (his handle is the adorable @chintskap), here are some of his most hilarious and/or insightful tweets that you've missed. Also, just get on Twitter and follow him because he's only getting better, because you'll totally miss:

1. The time he had an opinion on the beef ban in Maharashtra.

2. The time he made the most 'dad joke' of all time.

3. The time he joked about his flagging career.

4. The time he shared this hilarious .gif.

5. The time he asked the question we've always wanted to ask (and never gotten the answer to).

6. The time he took a strong stance on the Aarey Colony controversy in Mumbai for all the right reasons. Totally.

7. The time he got super excited after realising his account had been verified.

We approve, Chintuji. We approve.
