The Islamic State—also know as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, or ISIS- has a sophisticated social media propaganda strategy. It has reached out actively to Muslim youth in countries from France and Britain to the United States to join its growing crop of recruits who believe in a savage version of Islam. There were reports that it has been trying to make inroads in India.
Singh said that the main reason IS has not been able to influence Indian Muslims is their integration in society. He was speaking during the inaugural session of International Counter Terrorism Conference in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
