In another unfortunate example of corporal punishment, teachers of a government school in Maradapalem, Andhra Pradesh, made two small children stand naked in the sun, reports NDTV. Both the students had to be hospitalised, reports Deccan Chronicle.

DC reports that the teacher lost his temper when his two students from Class IV and V failed to turn in their homework. The teacher then allegedly asked the students, who are also brothers, to remove their shirts and kneel in the scorching sun. The students were allegedly made to kneel in the sun for over three hours, reports NDTV. The students then collapsed and were take to the hospital.

The father of the children has now lodged a complaint with the ward member and the village Sarpanch, reports DC.
