When the V-day mush gets onto your nerves, switch on the telly to hear the refreshing shrieks of stars neck-deep in crocs and scorpions. ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi: Darr Ka Blockbuster’ is back this month with some more action packed adventure shot in Cape Town.
The 6th season of the show launched on the 7 February, 2015 with filmmaker Rohit Shetty playing host to 14 celebrities. With over 60 stunts pulled in this time around, it’s certainly been no cake walk, but each contestant is left with fond memories of his/ her experience.
“I got to meet new people, and did stunts that I thought I would never do in my life,” says 36-year-old telly star Ashish Chaudhary whose biggest fear is cockroaches. “My daughters were newly born at that point of time and it was hard for me to leave, but my wife supported me and said that I should do this show.”
Other stars also claimed to discover a newfound resilience and passion for life. “Whenever I was called in to perform a stunt, I would look at myself in the mirror and think I could never say No,” reveals fit tv actor Hussain Kuwajerwala.
The women including Asha Negi, Sagarika Ghatge and Riddhi Dogra were equally thrilled by their participation revealing that the show taught them about the importance and power of mental strength over physical might.
Amidst the various nerve-wrecking stunts devised by Shetty, the show also features for the first time, an Insomnia Week, where contestants are deprived of sleep before the stunt to test their will power as well as a Bollywood and Horror week with feats set up in challenging, scary locations replete with helicopters, cranes, glass tunnels and speed boats.
The show will air for 10 weekends on Colors, every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm. Here are the contestants biggest fears revealed along with pics of the challenges they face on the show.
