Asus announced the launch of the Zenfone C - ZC451CG at Rs5999 in India, with units shipping on Flipkart today, and on Asus stores starting February 18, 2015 onwards.
Specs wise, the Zenfone endowed with a 1.2GHz Intel CloverTrail processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of EMMC storage, expandable via Micro SD Support up to 64GB.
The Zenfone C has dual sim and dual standby modes, a 4.5-inch 854x480-pixel (FWVGA) LED-backlit display, a 5 megapixel camera with PixelMaster technology, and a 2100mAh removable battery. The device runs on a skinned version of Android 4.4 KitKat called Zen UI.
The main PixelMaster camera has a 5MP, f/2.0 lens which has a low light mode that the company claims can capture up to 400%-brighter photos at night without the need for a flash. Other modes include Backlight HDR, Depth of Field, and Time Rewind, which snaps even before the shutter button is pressed.
Asus claims the 2100mAh battery cell can power the ZenFone C for up to 29.8 hours of 3G talk time and up to 260 hours on standby. The phone is available in three colours — red, white and black.
