Washington: Lost your keys? A new app lets users take a photo of their keys and use it to print another set in under a minute.

The app by New York-based KeyMe allows users to take a photograph of their home, office or car keys.

Users need to photograph both sides of the keys and use a blank white sheet of paper in the background, 'CNET' reported.

The app then uploads that image to the company's system. A press of a button tells the app to deliver the keys to the user in the mail.

Users can also travel to one of KeyMe's bright yellow kiosks and have new keys printed in under a minute.

KeyMe has almost two dozen automated locations in the greater New York City area, as well as a few scattered around in states like Florida, Arizona and Arkansas.

Keyme costs less than using a smart lock or paying up to USD 100 for an emergency visit from a locksmith.
