Astonishing footage of the TransAsia plane that crashed-landed in a Taipei river today has been captured by a car’s dashcam. In this footage first broadcast on Channel News Asia, you can see the plane make a desperate swerve to the right, clipping the roof of a car and the edge of the bridge as it plummets into the Keelung River.
According to Reuters, Nine of the 58 people on board were killed, a TV station reported. Thirty-one mainland Chinese tourists were among those on board, Taiwan's tourism bureau told Reuters. Earlier, the Taiwanese government had said at least two people were killed in the incident, while civil aeronautics authorities put the number of those rescued at about 16.
