It was the perfect Republic Day gift for his fans. Amitabh Bachchan delighted and surprised Twitter users today by posting a video that shows him singing the National Anthem at Jorasanko, Thakur Badi, that was once the residence of Rabindranath Tagore in Kolkata.

According to a report, the actor claimed that he would not be participating in the Republic Day Parade because he would be promoting his much-awaited film 'Shamitabh' in Kolkata. However his rich rendition has gained a lot of attention. Bachchan also tweeted that his rendition of Jana Gana Mana would air on TV and radio, and even possibly feature as part of the parade today.
