The man behind the stardom of several South Indian actors, K Balachandran, died yesterday due to a cardiac arrest, leaving behind several tearful faces and a potent legacy in the history of Indian cinema.
The octogenarian who had invested almost half a century in the film industry, holds almost a 100 feature films (as a director/ screenwriter) to his name. Not only did he have a reputation for creating individualistic plots that addressed dynamic subject matters, his work also focused heavily on women-centric themes.
