Rajinikanth's new movie 'Lingaa' released Friday. It was his first movie in four years, and his fans went delirious in the southern states. The movie's reviews say on average that it is what you would expect: typical Rajinikanth moves and mannerisms, and him playing a vigilante. The formula has stayed stagnant, but almost always produces top hits.

Here is a roundup of a few reviews:

This review says that like all his films, it is basically three hours of 'Rajini Saar' doing his thing. Which means loads of crazy action sequences, trademark antics and entertainment.

The movie perhaps is the most political of his recent works, and is a victim of Rajinikanth's mannerisms, says this review.

Rajinikanth is there is almost every frame, says this review, which is not a surprise if you have watched his past movies.

In the movie, Rajinkanth plays two characters in different times. And this review finds that to be a good thing.

From the above reviews, it seems clear that you are getting what you go to a Rajinikanth movie for. And that means you get your money's worth, as this review asserts.

And finally, it also seems to be full of Rajni's typical moves that will make you laugh.
