Facebook has launched a Year In Review microsite that takes a look at the most discussed topics of 2014, in India and around the world. Facebook analyzed conversations of over a billion people to reveal the year's biggest news stories, games, and the most checked-in places.

The most talked about topic globally was the 2014 FIFA World Cup, while India's General Elections was the most discussed event in India. The Taj Mahal is the most checked-in place in India, while Disneyland is the most checked in place in the US. Launched in May, the puzzle game Cookie Jam is the most played of 2014.
