Use This Candy Crush Cheat To Get Unlimited Lives

There's no shame in being addicted to Candy Crush. Though you may want to avoid spending $127 playing the smartphone game in one week. Thankfully, the same person who spent that exorbitant sum, Business Insider's Megan Rose Dickey, also exposed a way to get infinite lives in the game... for free.

The trick involves getting the game to think it's a different time than it actually is. If you're on an iPhone, just go into "Settings," then "General," scroll down and click "Date & Time." Make sure "Set Automatically" is turned off and change the time to a few hours in the future. Then go back to Candy Crush and enjoy your new lives.

Without the cheat, you have to wait 30 minutes, awkwardly beg friends for lives on Facebook or pay $0.99 in order to get a new life in Candy Crush. But with it, all you have to do is change the time on your phone a few hours into the future and you'll have all your lives restored.

Dickey isn't the only one laying down cash for Candy Crush. Analysts say the game rakes in $633,000 per day. That cash flow may soon come to an end once people start using this cheat. That is, of course, until the game's makers figure out a way to stop it from working.

The only potential problem with the trick is that it can make other apps that rely on the phone's clock go haywire. Don't be surprised if you get a bunch of false calendar notifications or have a few errant alarms go off. Be sure to return your clock to the normal time after you've gotten your lives.

But even if you end up missing a few appointments, so what? When you have Candy Crush, you don't need much else.
