Nahuel Huapi Lake Filled With Ash From Chile's Puyehue Volcano Eruption (VIDEO)

WATCH: Lake Filled With Volcanic Ash

The recent volcanic eruption in Chile is causing all sorts of problems, but none quite like this.

It seems the ash from the Puyehue Volcano has caused something incredible at Argentina's Nahuel Huapi Lake, covering the surface in a thick layer of ash. The video above is one man's journey into the lake.

It's almost surreal as he sinks beneath the surface, fully equipped in scuba gear.

The eruption has produced an enormous ash cloud, big enough to hinder air travel to locations like New Zealand, much like last year's eruption in Iceland disturbed European travel. The eruption began on June 4.
