Earlier this month, the World Economic Forum invited 350 Global Shaper representatives to Geneva to share their perspectives on a range of global and local issues with senior representatives of international organizations, including the United Nations and the World Trade Organization. I was one of 20 Global Shaper representatives from India who attended the meeting.
In this year's World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report, which sets out every year to assess the long term economic prospects of over 140 countries, India turns around five years of decline comprehensively. Climbing a total of 16 places in one year to 55th worldwide, India's performance is one of the strongest seen anywhere in the world.

Doing good and doing well can go hand in hand. When we do something selflessly for society the pie only gets bigger and so does our share. We are part of the same society and therefore doing something for others is our duty, not charity.
