Traditional Goan architecture features bright, energetic and beautiful colours. Synonymous with music, food, entertainment and merrymaking, it breaks away from the mundane ordeals of the rest of the nation. Tempting, provocative and culturally rich, sights here are magnificent, intriguing yet at the same time uplifting. Goa's colourful setting is a product of its historical development, reflecting the many races and cultures. The colours seen here remain true to the very nature of this state. It is a place where one can get lost or be found in its colonial surroundings. The atmosphere here is splashed with informal yellows and passionate reds of inviting houses. Throw in some greens and purples of Goan susegado, and we have the world on a palette.

The Goa International Photo Festival, organized by The One School Goa, runs from 10-21 February, featuring a series of exhibitions and shows. The following is a selection of images from the festival.
