I propose to announce the creation of the IPBRA—Indo-Pakistan-Bangladesh Reunification (under a secular government) Association—in a forthcoming function in Atlanta, USA, on 2 April.
We are really one nation, and were one since Mughal times. The Partition of India in 1947 on the basis of the bogus two-nation theory was a historical swindle by the British, which must now be undone, and we should reunite if we wish to prosper.
The time has come for us to annul that historical fraud and swindle of the British called Partition and reunite...That is the only way to progress and prosperity.
There was no communalism before 1857 (see my article "The Truth about Pakistan" as well as the speech "History in the Service of Imperialism" by B.N. Pande). After suppressing the 1857 Mutiny, communalism was artificially generated, by the British in pursuance of their wicked divide and rule policy, since they thought that was the only way to control India. This ultimately led to the Partition of India and the creation of a fake, artificial country called Pakistan. Even after 1947, some vested interests which thrive on polarising our society have been fanning communal hatred.
The Partition of India was done by the British on the basis of the bogus two-nation theory for two reasons: (1) India should not emerge as a modern industrial giant, for which it has all the potential, like China, and thus become a big rival to British industry; (2) India and Pakistan should remain big importers of foreign arms, thus helping the such industries earn super profits.
But what is Pakistan? It is Punjab, Sind, Balochistan and NWFP? These were all part of India since Mughal times. When I meet Pakistanis I feel no different from them. We speak in the same language, Hindustani; we look like each other; we share the same culture. In foreign countries, Indians and Pakistanis socialise as if there had never been a Partition.
We were befooled by the British into thinking that Hindus and Muslims are enemies of each other, and we are still being befooled after 1947 by certain vested interests who regularly spread communal poison. The truth is that 99% Hindus and 99% Muslims in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are good people.
We were befooled by the British into thinking that Hindus and Muslims are enemies of each other, and we are still being befooled by certain vested interests.
But how much longer must we remain befooled? How much longer must blood flow between us? How much longer must our poor people be made to buy foreign arms to fight each other, when we should utilise this money for the welfare of our people? India is the biggest importer of foreign arms in the world.
Those who support "friendship" between India and Pakistan— e.g. "Aman ki Asha"— are living in a fool's paradise. There can never be friendship between the two, because Pakistan was created as a theocratic state so that there is perpetual enmity and hatred between Hindus and Muslims, and thereby united India may not emerge as a modern industrial giant. If there is genuine friendship between the two, the very purpose of creating Pakistan will disappear.
The time has come for us to annul that historical fraud and swindle of the British called Partition and reunite, as Germany did in 1990 as Vietnam did in 1975 and as Italy did in 1861. That is the only way to progress and prosperity
