Tanja Ahlin is a medical anthropologist and a translator, currently a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam. She is researching elderly care by means of everyday information and communication technologies (ICTs) in transnational families.
Before this, Tanja mainly translated books from English and French into Slovenian, from fiction and poetry to popular science and reference books. She also worked as a publisher and was a founder and editor of an award-winning literary portal.
One of Tanja’s aspirations is to make (medical) anthropology relevant to the general public.
