Rajesh Gupta is the Country Manager for SanDisk India. Rajesh has a rich and varied experience spanning over two decades in the IT industry across India and SAARC region. He has managed diverse roles covering Channel & Distribution management, Retail, Enterprise Sales, Market Development, SME programs and Services.
At SanDisk, Rajesh is responsible for enhancing the sales and marketing infrastructure within India and SAARC. He manages the retail sales and marketing of Memory Cards, USB and SSD products through distribution channels that cover major cities and markets across India. He is also responsible for establishing SanDisk as the consumer brand for flash memory storage solutions in India.
He joined SanDisk in 2012 as Director of Sales for India. Prior to joining SanDisk, Rajesh held multiple leadership positions in the Sales & Marketing group at Intel Corporation where he worked for over 15 years having joined the initial start-up team in India. Previously he also worked with CMC Ltd. covering Solution sales, product management and technical support.
He completed his MBA majoring in Marketing Management from The Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad and has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering. Rajesh has also attended leadership development program at Darden Business School, University of Virginia.
Consumers are no longer satisfied with superficial bells and whistles, and are demanding more and more intelligence and seamlessness from their devices. Think about this - how often are users more disappointed with the loss of their data/contacts when they lose their phones than they are about the actual device itself? The answer gives us anecdotal insight into a strange shift of conversation. Consumers are - in a sense - demanding enterprise class capabilities on their gadgets.
