Neha Kirpal

Founding Director, India Art Fair

Neha Kirpal is the Founding Director of India Art Fair - India’s premier Modern and Contemporary Art Fair - which launched in 2008. She has been instrumental in establishing the fair as a one-stop destination for Indian art at a global level, creating the first ever world-class platform for showcasing Indian art, whilst also providing an avenue for international galleries, artists, curators, museums and collectors to experience the Indian artistic landscape and emerging art market. Over the last six editions, she has grown the art fair to new heights, expanding both the scale and scope, whilst enhancing the programming around the art fair with seminars, educational outreach, community access programmes and collateral social events. In a short span of 6 years India Art Fair stands as an excellent example in the cultural industry as a self-starter, profitable venture based on the strengths of young woman enterprise and cross cultural international collaborations.

Neha Kirpal is recognised as a successful young entrepreneur and businesswoman, recently listed in Fortune “40 under 40” in March 2014 as one of the most influential young female entrepreneurs in India. Business Today, voted as the ‘Most Powerful Women in Business’ for three consecutive years (2012- 2014), and at the Forbes Arts Awards 2014 Neha was awarded as the ‘Arts Entrepreneur of the year’. She has been a member of the FICCI National Advisory Committee for art and regularly advises corporate entities on art management.
