National Coordinator for Health, World Vision India
As the National Coordinator for Health with World Vision India, Dr Rahul Mathew oversees the design, monitoring and evaluation of all the health projects of World Vision India while developing strategic technical documents for the organization, reviewing grant proposals and leading innovation for reducing child mortality and morbidity. Prior to World Vision India, he worked with World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office for India as a Surveillance Medical Officer. He was involved with Polio eradication, Measles outbreak control and in improving the immunization status among children in Western UP. Dr Rahul Mathew has also worked with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India (ONGC) Ltd as an Occupational Health Physician, where he led the occupational health activities impacting the health of the employees, periodic medical examinations, research for effective programming and interventions. His core interests lie in the areas of technology in health, research, innovative programming, sustainable models for public health, media/communications in health, health advocacy.
