How The Differently-abled And The Elderly Cast Their Votes In J&K Elections

During the recent Jammu and Kashmir elections, a unique exercise was conducted by the district administration of Kathua, in collaboration with the election department, social welfare department and district Red Cross Society, to provided assistance to the differently-abled and elderly to reach the polling stations to vote, and then dropped back home. Around 3,615 differently-abled voters along with over 2,000 voters aged 75 years and above we provided this assistance--the oldest voter being 103 with the youngest one just 21.
