Former JD(U) MLC politician Manorama Devi's son, Rocky Yadav, has been awarded convicted for the murder of class XII student in Bihar on 7 May 2016. A Gaya district court sentenced him to life imprisonment today.
Two other accused were also awarded the same term. Rocky's father, businessman Bindi Yadav, has been sentenced to five years in jail.
The deceased, an Aditya Sachdeva, was shot dead by Rocky after he overtook his car on the night of the incident.
Rocky had, reportedly, fled from the spot after committing the crime, but was later apprehended and arrested at his father's factory in Gaya.
The police had also found 70 rounds of ammunition and a carbine in Manorama Devi's residence in connection with the murder.
Sachdeva's friend, Aayush, who was with him when the incident occurred, said that when they tried overtaking Rocky's car, he lost his cool and started firing shots in the air. The second shot broke the rear window and hit Aditya, who was returning home after celebrating his birthday.
