Sushma Swaraj recently posted a video, criticising Meira Kumar, then Lok Sabha Speaker and now the Opposition's Presidential candidate, insinuating that she was treaded badly by her.

Swaraj was then the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

The video shows Meira Kumar telling Swaraj, "Alright, I have to proceed. Sushmaji, I have to proceed," while Swaraj continues to talk during a 2013 Lok Sabha session.

Swaraj continues to make her point, while Kumar asks her to stop.

Swaraj has claimed that she was interrupted 60 times by Kumar during her six minute speech.

Swaraj's tweet assumes significance at a time when Kumar is the Opposition's contender for the post of the President of India. With her tweets Swaraj is perhaps trying to indicate that Kumar may have been partisan during her time as Lok Sabha speaker.

Swaraj says, "This is how Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar treated the Leader of Opposition," indicating that Kumar's treatment during the situation was not what it should have been.

Anyone who keeps track of Parliament sessions is aware, that no matter which party is on the ruling side, there are times when leaders are made to sit down, because the exceed their time and the Speaker's job is to allow everyone an opportunity to speak.

So when Kumar is seen saying, "I have to proceed. Sushmaji," it was perhaps to let others speak.

Swaraj's tweet also assumes significance because while she is criticising Kumar now, she had, actually heaped praises on her in her farewell speech.

The Twitter handle of the Indian National Congress, reminded Swaraj of the kind words she had said to Kumar in the speech.

In the video she is seen turning to Meira Kumar and saying, "Aapki toh main kayal hoon... Maine niji roop se aapse kaha hai ki aapka swabhav, aur swabahv mein krodh ka na aana Sadan ko chalane mein sabse zyada yogdaan hai. (I am smitten by you... I have said myself that your behaviour, and the lack of anger in your nature, has been your biggest contribution in running the House.)"

However, looks like Swaraj changed her opinion of Kumar based on the fact the she is competing with Ram Nath Kovind, NDA's presidential candidate.
