Some heroes don't wear capes. Just like this woman police officer in western Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr.

When BJP's district-level worker Pramod Lodhi was issued a challan for not having proper documentation of his vehicle, a bunch of party workers started raising slogans against the police. This is when Circle Officer (CO) Shreshtha Thakur steps in and confronts a mob of angry BJP workers.

Even as the workers keep yelling and misbehaving, Thakur shows how not to bow down to bullies.

The video has gone viral.

"You please go and get written orders from the Chief Minister that the police have no right to check vehicles... that we can't do our job," she tells a BJP worker.

The BJP workers then accused the police of taking bribe and acting against the BJP.

Thakur had an apt response to this allegation. "You (BJP workers) are bringing a bad name to your party also... people will soon start saying that you guys are BJP's goonda," she said.

The incident took place on Friday afternoon.

Hooliganism by politicians isn't a new thing. Recently, a senior BJP lawmaker from Gorakhpur shouted at a woman police officer, asking her not to cross her limits. He eventually ended up reducing IPS officer, Charu Nigam in tears.

The police officer was trying to control women protesters who had blocked a road while demanding a ban on liquor shops. In a video that gone viral, the veteran BJP lawmaker Dr Radha Mohan Das Agarwal was seen shouting at the officer, "Main aapse baat nahin kar raha hoon... mujhe tum kuch na batao. Chup raho tum! Bardasht ke bahar mat jao (I am not speaking to you. Don't tell me anything. You keep quiet. Don't cross your limits)".
